Changing stream in the MSc program

It is possible to change stream only once during the program. The deadline to request this is the first day of the term to which the change must be applied. After the first day of the term, the change will be applied for the next term.

To request a change of stream, you need to complete a short administrative request.

This change will impact several aspects of your file, as well as your tuition fees. Please see the section below for more details.

Tuition fees

In the thesis stream, tuition fees are calculated as a flat fee. Your first term in the thesis stream always equates to the first term of the flat fee, even if you have already completed one or more terms in the MSc.

Students are automatically registered to the thesis activity every term (fall, winter, and summer) from their first term in the thesis stream, until the end of their studies. They must pay the associated fees whether they are taking courses or not.

Status

In the thesis stream, you have a “full-time student” status by default.
