Depending on your situation and your study program, you could be eligible for a lower tuition rate based on the exemption categories below. To receive these rates, you must have legal status in Canada.
You will receive the Quebec tuition rate if you are a resident of Quebec according one of the criteria below or if one of the situations listed in part 2 of the Attestation of Québec Resident Status applies to you.
If you studied in a subsidized public Cégep program, you do not need to provide any documents.
Your birth certificate issued by the Directeur de l'état civil, complete with your father’s name, your mother’s name, and where in Quebec you were born (short form not accepted). This document must be certified if the place of birth is in a province other than Quebec or a country other than Canada.
You will receive the Quebec tuition rate if you are enrolled in a PhD program.
Does not apply to courses outside your program or independent study programs. In such cases, the Canadian tuition rate (non-resident of Quebec) applies.
You will receive the Quebec tuition rate if you do not qualify for the Residence in Quebec category and are enrolled in one of the following programs:

You will receive the Quebec tuition rate for your French language courses.
Does not apply to Business French Summer or Winter school.
You can receive the Quebec tuition rate if professional order or organization overseeing a regulated profession in Quebec has issued a request for you to take a course.
